This weekend, head to Camp Mabry for an Open House and Muster Day. On Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, the Texas Military Forces Museum will host reenactors of all periods – from the Texas Revolution through today – to display their historical uniforms, weapons and equipment for the general public.
Muster Day will also feature a large WWII battle reenactment each day at 2 p.m. These battles feature 200 Allied and German soldiers recreating a WWII battle using original equipment, tanks, and weapons. This includes a fly over by AT-6 Texans as part of the battle.
The free museum will be open each day from 9 am to 5 pm. Gates open at 8 a.m. each day and close at 5 p.m. As well as the museum events, there will be displays by the Texas Military Forces, helicopter demos, First Reponders, children’s activities, Vietnam Wall Memorial, a 5K run, and more. See the poster below for the schedule of events.
