Sound on Sound Fest is Happening at a Castle, Y’all!

The day that Austin music festival fans have been looking forward to is finally here — the recently created Sound on Sound Festival just dropped their lineup. Sound on Sound is produced by Margin Walker Presents, founded by former Fun Fun Fun Fest founder Graham Williams. The new festival is clearly sticking to the styles and formats that made FFFF popular for ten years, offering up live music, comedy, and new panel sessions with headliners Beach House.

Fans have not only been waiting for the music lineup, they’ve also been eagerly awaiting the information regarding the event’s location. And they were not disappointed, because this year’s festival is happening AT A FRIGGIN CASTLE:

Beyond all of the music offerings at the fest, Sound on Sound Fest will offer ticket-buyers a truly unique festival experience at the beloved Sherwood Forest Faire. Located just east of Austin and set in the beautiful Lost Pines region of Central Texas, Sherwood Forest Faire is a 23-acre permanent renaissance village that features over 100 permanent buildings including shoppes, pubs, restaurants and stages, many of which will be utilized in creating a highly-curated festival footprint and experience for attendees of all ages.

To be honest, we’re really looking forward to fans really getting into character and going full “Game of Thrones” costume for the festival. Winter may be here, but the fall of 2016 is basically all that we care about right now, because check out this lineup.

For 3-day passes, Treat Thyself VIP tickets, and camping passes, head to the Sound on Sound website posthaste. Single day passes and parking passes will be on sale in coming months, and the festival has plans to arrange several full shuttle and transportation options.
