AUSTIN (KXAN) — As quick as the rumors began, Texas head coach Charlie Strong cast aside any notion he was searching for a change of scenery or the University of Miami coaching job.
Former Hurricanes coach Al Golden was fired Sunday after Miami was shutout at home against Clemson. An ESPN report by Brett McMurphy said Strong would listen if Miami came calling. The second-year Texas coach laughed off the report.
