Night Crafters: Botanically Dyed Wooden Beads

Night Crafters - Beads

September’s Night Crafters at Manchaca Road Branch will teach the eco-friendly crafter how to use botanical colors to dye wood beads. These beautifully dyed woods beads will then be used to make a fantastic keychain. There are a variety of natural botanicals that can be used to dye textiles and wood. Join the Austin Public Library for a lesson in using berries and turmeric to dye wood beads and use a natural beeswax sealant to preserve and protect your new keychain.

Free and open to the public. For more information contact the Austin Public Library at (512) 974-8700, or through the Ask a Librarian service.
