More Austin Pools to Open Wednesday

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division will increase the number of open pools on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 24 to 27. The Department anticipates adding Givens Pool, Shipe Pool and the Shipe Wading Pool to the list of open pools on Wednesday.

The following pools are expected to be open effective Wednesday, June 18, 2014:

  • Balcones Pool
  • Bartholomew Pool ($)
  • Barton Springs Pool ($)
  • Brentwood Pool
  • Canyon Vista Pool
  • Civitan Pool
  • Deep Eddy Pool ($)
  • Dick Nichols Pool
  • Dittmar Pool
  • Dottie Jordan Pool
  • Dove Springs Pool
  • Garrison Pool ($)
  • Givens Pool
  • Mabel Davis Pool ($)
  • Martin Pool
  • Metz Pool
  • Murchison Pool
  • Northwest Pool ($) 
  • Patterson Pool
  • Ramsey Pool
  • Reed Pool
  • Rosewood
  • Shipe Pool
  • Shipe Wading Pool
  • Stacy Pool
  • Walnut Creek Pool ($)
  • Westenfield

Pools that will still be closed as of Wednesday, June 18th:

  • Gillis
  • Govalle
  • Kennemer
  • Little Stacy – closed for filtration motor repair
  • Montopolis – closed for water pump repair
  • Parque Zaragosa
  • West Austin 

Admission fees for municipal pools (denoted with a dollar sign above) can be found here. Admission to neighborhood pools is free.
