KXAN — Open carry in Texas takes effect January 1st and local authorities want to make sure you have all your questions answered.
“Somebody’s going to see someone with a weapon in public and they’re going to call in, ‘this guy’s got a gun,’ says Commander Jim Stuart with Round Rock PD. “So it’s going to take a few more questions, ‘alright what are they doing that’s alarming you?’ Are they doing anything that looks illegal or are they just going about their business as a normal citizen?”
