Giving fans a somber end to 2016, Austin group Little Thief recently dropped a beautiful track titled “For Kevin,” off of their new record It Didn’t End, Tomorrow Came.
The song brings a softer edge to the typical Austin sound by bringing together instruments such as cello, strings, and acoustic guitars. Little Thief certainly knows how to compose a song that resonates with their audience and can easily turn people into new fans if they are just coming across them.
Death is a main theme of the tune, and it makes the song sound incredibly haunting, while still being listenable. With a feel that can draw comparisons to Sigur Ros of Iceland, there is no song that’s better for chilly weather than “For Kevin.”
