Lifeguard Shortage Causes Delay in Some Pool Openings

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department has delayed opening about half of the City’s pools, due to a shortage of available lifeguards. 

On June 11, 2014, the Aquatic Division announced that 21 pools are now open. Reed Pool is now open. It was previously closed for maintenance. Montopolis Pool remains temporarily out of service for maintenance. 

The list of facilities that are open, according to the updated June 11 press release:
