KXAN — As East View High School and Georgetown police investigate why students had a handgun and bullets in a men’s locker room, their classmates question their own safety.
“They should have better security in the school instead of just letting us walk in,” said Jason McDonald, a sophomore at East View High School.
Only alternative schools in Central Texas are equipped with metal detectors. Administrators have expressed no desire to put them on regular campuses, citing they do not want schools to feel like prisons.
