Journey Through Latin America with Michael Nigro

Join the Austin Public Library to hear guitarist and music teacher Michael Nigro perform a classical guitar concert celebrating Latin American music and composers. This concert will brighten your spirit and is certainly not one to miss! 


Known for his engaging commentary and expressive playing, Michael Nigro will be performing works by Jose Luis Merlin, Antonio Lauro, Isaac Albeniz, Maximo Diego Pujol, Jorge Cardoso, and many others. The finely crafted concert will take place Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6, 2014 at two branches of the Austin Public Library. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

Michael Anthony Nigro is an Assistant Professor of Music at Vanguard University. He has performed across the Unites States and abroad, giving concerts and master classes for numerous universities, performing arts centers, guitar societies, libraries, and museums. As a recording artist, his discography includes a total of five CDs, including Homage to Piazzolla, Guitar Sudamericana and A Journey through Latin America.
