Austin has plenty of hotels that top a variety of lists, like Hotel Van Zandt which was recently named one of the most desirable hotels in Texas. But a recent list shows off the value of some of Austin’s more underrated hotels. TrustYou, a company that aggregates and analyzes online feedback for hotels, recently released its first annual list of the most underrated hotels in the U.S. — and four Austin hotels landed in the top 20.
The underrated list identifies and highlights less frequented hotels with outstanding Trust Scores (a ranking of more than 100 categories that consumers discuss in online reviews that range from responsiveness of guest services teams through cleanliness, and include a variety of amenities.
Austin.com is and always has been a site that celebrates and promotes the unique people and places of Austin, TX and surrounding cities. Though many businesses, locations, and events are closed at this time, we continue to highlight those things so that you can plan to experience them in the future.
“This list places a spotlight on hotels that offer incredible experiences, but aren’t earning the recognition they deserve,” Ellis Connolly, Chief Revenue Officer for TrustYou said in a press release. “We are providing a valuable service to travelers looking for a unique, personalized trip that is off the beaten path and more closely aligns with life in the city in which they are visiting, and allowing hotels to earn the praise that they deserve.”
The four Austin hotels to make the list include Travis Heights Modern (4th), Soco Spaces (7th), The Fairview (11th), and Hotel Saint Cecilia (15th). No other Texas hotels made the list.
“Austin has a tremendous reputation for offering visitors unique experiences. Our research indicates that this is both earned, and perhaps understated, as the city placed four properties in the top 15 nationally on our list of underrated hotels,” Connolly told Austin.com.
