Though the city of Austin has canceled the annual 4th of July fireworks show in Austin, there are still some ways you can see fireworks in Central Texas.
Please remember that while these fireworks shows are still happening, you are encouraged to practice social distancing while viewing and not gather in large groups. Also, as details are constantly changing, be sure to confirm everything on the official city websites (we will be monitoring and updating this post as well).

Here’s where you can see fireworks near Austin on the 4th of July.
Round Rock Express and KASE 101 Present 4th of July with Granger Smith
8 p.m. | Dell Diamond in Round Rock
KASE 101 and the Round Rock Express will present Fourth of July with Granger Smith and Earl Dibbles Jr. on Saturday, July 4 at Dell Diamond. The 90-minute concert will be followed by a special Independence Day fireworks show. Gates are scheduled to open at 7 p.m. with Granger Smith taking the stage at 8 p.m. Fireworks are set to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. Get more info and buy tickets here.
Kyle’s Independence Day Fireworks Show
9/ 9:30 p.m. | Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle
According to the city of Kyle website, a celebration of Independence Day has been planned for a spectacular fireworks show, launching from Plum Creek Golf Course.
Fire in the Sky
9:15 p.m. | Dripping Springs Sports & Recreation Park in Dripping Springs
The annual Fire in the Sky fireworks show in Dripping Springs will now be based out of Dripping Springs Sports & Recreation Park to allow more residents to see the show from the downtown area. Fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m.
Red, White ‘n Buda Independence Day Celebration
9:15 p.m. | Fireworks Launching From Buda Sportsplex and City Park
Due to COVID-19 concerns they are doing things a little differently this year for Red, White and Buda. While there will be no morning parade or other activities, they will still have a fireworks show. In fact, they are having two shows! Fireworks will be launched from Buda Sportsplex and City Park on July 4 between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. For your safety and to ensure social distancing, there will be no parking available to view the fireworks at these locations. City Park and Buda Sportsplex will be closed to the public. The city encourages you to watch the fireworks from home or from a safe location where social distancing is observed.
9:15 p.m. | Fireworks Launching From Typhoon Texas
Typhoon Texas will be hosting the fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. Enjoy the firework from the surrounding area if you’re not visiting the waterpark. Park your car, tune in to iHeartRadio stations 96.7 KISS FM or 102.3 THE BEAT and watch the show while social distancing from one of these locations: Hendrickson High School, Stone Hill Town Center, and Costco. Parking for the fireworks only is not available at Typhoon Texas. Only visitors with a reservation for July 4 at the waterpark will be allowed to park in Typhoon Texas’ parking lot. For the safety of yourself and others, please stay inside your vehicle and practice social distancing.
