WeatherFest Returns to the Bullock Museum

Weatherfest

The fifth annual WeatherFest will take place at the Bullock Museum on Sunday, February 7, 2016. This event is being held in conjunction with Free First Sundays, so admission to the Museum exhibits will be free from 12-5 p.m. Special WeatherFest activities will be offered at no charge from 12-3 p.m.

At WeatherFest, enjoy hands-on science experiments, weather-related films and panel discussions, and family-friendly activities. Meet your favorite local meteorologist, and more!

WeatherFest is presented in partnership with Time Warner Cable News, and features family activities presented by Girlstart, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing girls’ interest and engagement in science, technology, engineering, and math through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs.

  • Make a LEGO building that could withstand an earthquake
  • Learn about spectroscopes
  • Be a weather reporter
  • Create an extreme weather shelter
  • Tell time with the sun and make a pocket sundial
