Screen Shot 2016-03-23 at 12.18.42 PMLooking for a fun, play-based class for your toddler or preschooler that’s outdoors and exploratory and maximizes learning? Look no further than Tinkergarten®! Tinkergarten classes are now enrolling for spring and summer, including FREE trial classes all over town to allow you and your child to get a taste of what Tinkergarten is all about.

All families must RSVP for classes at www.tinkergarten.com/classes, including free trials, to ensure that the leader is well prepared for all families to participate.

Tinkergarten provides the best early childhood education for children ages 18 months to five years old in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Based on a progressive skills-based curriculum, each class is tailored to the ages and prior knowledge of the children attending, as well as to the geographic region and current season. Leaders further tailor classes to meet individual children’s needs as they artfully facilitate the activity to maximize fun and learning for everyone involved.

SticksWhen you and your child attend your free trial class, you’ll get to experience a sample of the learning activities enjoyed in regular classes each week, preparing you to join Tinkergarten’s Spring or Summer season of classes. Parents can either join their children at a class or send their children with another caregiver, and then learn more about the experience by email.

Regular classes happen once a week, in six- to eight-week sessions. Check out the full list of Tinkergarten classes, and then RSVP here to sign up for your child’s free class.

LeavesFree classes will be offered at the following locations and times:

More free trial classes during Just Between Friends Round Rock:

Tinkergarten is also excited to be partnering with Just Between Friends to offer three FREE trial classes/activities during the JBF events at the Old Settlers Association in Round Rock. Classes will be offered on April 7, 8 and 9 from 10–11 AM. Attendance at these free classes gives parents free admission into the JBF event! Register here and share the fun with a friend.

A few notes to remember about Tinkergarten classes:

DiggingTrial classes are designed for children ages 18 months to 5 years old to attend with an adult, and are limited to the first 15 children to enroll. Siblings of other ages are also welcome to enroll. Kids may get a bit messy in class, so children should wear clothing that can get dirty. Also, classes involve walking; a class will start at the location listed but may end within a reasonable walk from that location.

Don’t forget to RSVP for your free class (or RSVP here for a Just Between Friends trial class).

More About Tinkergarten®

Tinkergarten is not a typical kids’ class—while they share ideas with educational frameworks like Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia, they’re much more. Their technology-enabled, expert-designed curriculum adapts to region and season, is age-appropriate, and spans a broad range of skills. Activities build progressively week after week, season after season.

Why outside?

CaterpillarBecause outside is healthier! Tinkergarten parents are not anti-tech. Their kids get ample screen time. Tinkergarten balances that with healthy, rejuvenating and developmentally stimulating time outdoors. Classes bring back something that’s been an influential part of childhood — free time to tinker out in nature.

Kids learn leadership, problem-solving, persistence and more through well-designed, guided play. At Tinkergarten kids get to explore independently, take risks, get dirty, and make things with their own hands, rather than drilling skills at the local tutoring center.

Tinkergarten knows the most critical social development happens in the first five years. That’s why Tinkergarten classes are purposefully designed to bring kids together with their peers and their parents, and to allow mom and dad to bond with their child more meaningfully.
