Free Registration for Corner Store Country Run – Austin 5K Fun Run

Time to put on your running shoes, folks — there’s a 5K fun run coming to the Dell Diamond on Saturday, November 1, 2014, and Free Fun in Austin readers can register for free using the promo code CSCRAUSTIN!

Note: The website says free registrations for Austin have sold out, but FFiA readers can still use the above promo code to register for the event for free!

This is the first year for the Corner Store Country Run, an inaugural signature charity event introduced by San Antonio-based convenience chain Corner Store. All net proceeds from the run will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters along with local children’s charities.

The Country Run is part of an eight-city series (see the full schedule of upcoming Country Runs below). All run courses are farm-themed, with hay bales, corn stalks and giant inflatable cows and pigs. Participants are encouraged to dress the part in overalls, cowboy hats and over-the-top country attire. Families are welcome and the course is stroller-friendly.

Every participant will get a T-shirt, finisher blue ribbon and entry into a post-run country fair with carnival games, face painting, balloon twisting, a photo booth, live music, food, a beer garden and tons of sponsor giveaways. Best part? Once you are inside the fair, everything is free. No need to bring cash, all you need is ID if you plan to consume an adult beverage.

Check out the Country Run on Facebook, Twitter (official event hashtag: #CountryRun2014) and Instagram, check the Austin race schedule here, and register here for the event

The regular registration fee for the event is $30, or $75 for a family four-pack, but if you enter the promo code CSCRAUSTIN you can register for the Austin run for FREE! (Again — though the website says free registrations for Austin have sold out, FFiA readers can still use the above code to register for the event for free.)
