75 Years of Batman at Mondo Gallery

Boof! BAM! KaPOW! Mondo Gallery celebrates 75 years of Batman with an epic gallery event. The show will chronicle the caped crusader and his arch-rivals in a variety of mediums including comics, the 1960s TV series, animated series, and the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan films. Dozens of artists will also be there showcasing their best Batman tributes. Gallery open Thursday to Saturday from 12-6pm. (Mondo Gallery, 41115 Guadalupe Street, Austin)

Preview Screening of Austin Episode of Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways

The Sonic Highways series documents the eight-city recording journey for the band’s latest, Sonic Highways release. The Austin episode will air Friday at 10pm on HBO, but End of an Ear is presenting a special preview screening Thursday at 8pm. OPEN Canopy

Micklethwait Craft Meats and Hungry Todd Rungy at the Yellow Jacket

Come out and party with Micklethwait and Hungry Todd as they celebrate their appearance on the Cooking Channel’s foodie show Eat Street. There will be FREE Micklethwait appetizers with every drink purchase. After the episode airs at 7pm, Hungry Todd will compete in a sausage eating contest with on hand craft meat specialists. Saturday Night Concert Series at Hill Country Galleria


Enjoy the cooler weather this weekend and head out to the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave to catch a performance by Tessy Lou and the Shotgun Stars.  The band includes Bryan Paugh on fiddle, Mike Singer on banjo, Kenny Williams on Doghouse Bass, and Tessy Lou Williams on sweet vocals and guitar.
