The weekend is here, and we are ready to go! This weekend around Austin there are festivals, conferences, and plenty of FREE fun events to do. Check out our top ten FREE events.

Bee Cave Public Library Storytime
Friday, June 10th | From 10:30 to 11 a.m. | Bee Cave Public Library, 4000 Galleria Parkway, Bee Cave

Join the Bee Cave Public Library on the second floor for a highly interactive program that will have children and grownups reading along with stories, singing, and moving.

Juneteenth Street Dance
Friday, June 10th | From 7 to 11:30 p.m. | Veterans Memorial Park, 109 Depot Street, Elgin

The Juneteenth Celebration kicks off their event with vendors in Veterans’ Memorial Park Friday at 7:00 PM and the annual street dance held at from 8:00 PM. through midnight.

Movies in the Park in Kyle
Friday, June 10th | From 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. | Gregg Clark Park, 1301 W. Center Street, Kyle

The movie will begin at sundown! Grab a blanket and a friend for another great season of the Movies in the Park shown on the big screen. Movies in the Park are FREE and fun for all ages! All movies are rated G or PG, except when noted.

Blanco Lavender Festival
Saturday, June 11th | From 9 to 6 p.m. | Blanco Chamber of Commerce, 300 Main Street, Blanco

Lavender Market on the Grounds of the Historic Old Blanco County Courthouse! Enjoy live music and lots and lots of lavender.

Family Fishing Day
Saturday, June 11th | From 9 to 12 p.m. | Bradfield Park, 130 Crescent Drive, Buda

Head to Buda for their annual fishing day! Texas Parks and Wildlife stocks the pond at Bradfield Village Park and provides rods, reels, and bait! We will provide a free hotdog lunch. All you need to bring are some chairs, sunscreen, and a cooler to take home the fish you catch! Of course, you are welcome to set them free as well.

Cross Chain Lounge @ Consensus 2022
Saturday, June 11th | From 10 to 6 p.m. | Native Hostel, 807 East 4th Street

Conferences can be tiring, so Native created a casual lounge space where you can slow down, grab refreshments, connect with other web3 enthusiasts, and learn more about the THORChain ecosystem while the conference is in town!

Rainbow on the Creek
Saturday, June 11th | From 12 to 9 p.m. | Waterloo Greenway, 1111 Red River Street

Join Waterloo Greenway and their community partners as we celebrate Pride Month with a free family-friendly Pride Festival & Celebration with live music, dance and drag performances from local artists and performers, and interactive exhibits from Austin’s LGBTQIA+ nonprofits, small businesses, and gender affirming/sexual health service providers.

Thinkery Community Night
Sunday, June 12th | From 3 to 5 p.m. | Thinkery, 1830 Simond Avenue

Community Night is part of Thinkery’s Open Door Initiative, created to give every child a chance to explore STEAM concepts and develop a lifelong love of learning, regardless of means.

Shadow Band at Meanwhile Brewing

When we say this band can rock, THEY CAN ROCK! Shadow Band has been rocking around Austin, and they are making their way to Meanwhile Brewing this Saturday.  You won’t want to miss this concert, happening on Meanwhile’s outdoor stage.

Concerts in the Park
Sunday, June 12th | From 7 to 11:30 p.m. | The Long Center, 701 West Riverside Drive

Austinites know summer has begun once the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park has begun. All ages, including pets, enjoy relaxing Sunday evenings with different musical ensembles presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO).
