Cuvee Coffee Crowler Cup Championship

Nine brave breweries are stepping up to battle for title of Crowler Cup Champion: Oktoberfest beer. Come partake in the battle and cast your vote!  Come in your lederhosen, stockings, and german braids because there will be a best dressed contest at 9 pm and the winner eats brats for FREE! Fright Night at Jo’s SoCo: Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Start getting into the Halloween spirit! Every Thursday night in October Jo’s will be showing a different spooky movie. This week’s feature is Halloween III: Season of the Witch and they’ll have drink specials and popcorn available. Bring a chair because seating is limited. Movie starts at dusk and is FREE to attend. First Thursday on South Congress

First Thursday happens this week and takes place along South Congress Avenue, generally from Barton Springs Road to Elizabeth Street. The SoCo block party starts at 6pm and the stores along South Congress that normally close early stay open late until about 10pm. They will be joined by craft vendors, live music, and special guests. The KGSR Morning Show will live broadcast ACL from Threadgill’s World HQ this Friday and Saturday from 8 am – noon. Jitterbug Vipers at C-Boys Heart & Soul

The Jitterbug Vipers specialize in a beloved cult jazz offshoot called “viper jazz,” a screeching U-Turn back to the party where jazz music packed the dance floor and dazzled the audience with brilliant streams of improvisatory musicianship. Concerts for A Cause at Down South Railhouse

Come on out to Down South Railhouse for a Concerts For A Cause benefiting Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center. HCWC provides free services to any victim of family violence and dating violence, elder abuse, sexual assault or child abuse. Headlining will be Kyle’s Keith Kelso (6-8 pm). Opening will be Lone Star Lynn with Guitar Gary. As always, the event is FREE to attend, but they will be taking donations for HCWC throughout the evening.
