Learn how to manage pain and stress with a natural alternative – YOGA! Free Yoga classes led by certified instructors from PureAction.org.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats. Adults only.

Every Tuesday night The Michael Hale Trio and Mac Mcintosh brings BrotherMac Church to Rainey Street. Be ready to dance to your favorite blues and jazz tunes while enjoying craft cocktails  including the BrotherMac Signature Cocktail from the mixologists at Half Step Bar. This has been called by many the best place to be on Tuesday nights in Austin.

Provision Grand Opening
Wednesday, March 4 | from 4 to 8 p.m. | Provision, 4200 West Braker Lane, Suite B
Provision is thanking the Austin community for its warmth and support and celebrating their October 2019 opening with a party! In addition to the dinner menu, Chef Albert Gonzalez and his team will be serving complimentary small bites. Their favorite local partners SunUp CBD, Pinthouse Pizza, Bricolage Curated Florals and Spread & Co. will be onsite with tinctures, plants, libations and bites for guests to enjoy and purchase. The j.k. livin foundation — a local nonprofit whose mission is to empower high school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future — will also be present for guests hoping to make a charitable contribution. Additionally, they will host a few ex-players from the NFLPA Former Players Association for guests to meet and greet – these players might also have some items to give away! This event is FREE and open to the public. The first 50 guests on-site will receive a gift bag filled with goodies from local businesses, so come early for a surprise treat.

Art & Design Gallery Opening
Thursday, March 5 | from 6 to 8 p.m. | Louis Shanks Furniture, 2930 West Anderson Lane

The March Art & Design Gallery Opening at Louis Shanks Furniture will feature the visual art of Austin musician Bob Schneider along with interior design by Bobby Berk, one of the stars from the popular Netflix series Queer Eye. Both Schneider and Berk will be on hand to meet event goers and guests will also enjoy light bites from Cover 3 restaurant and sips by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Milam & Greene Whiskey, and Topo Chico Mineral Water. Alex Lew from Austin Classical Guitar will also perform at the event.

2020 Tito’s PRIZE EXHIBITION Opening
Friday, March 6 | From 7 to 10 p.m. | Big Medium Gallery
Big Medium is pleased to present the third annual Tito’s Prize exhibition featuring winner Betelhem Makonnen. The prize comes courtesy of a donation from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and includes a $15,000 award and a solo exhibition in the Big Medium Gallery. Working with a variety of mediums that include video, photography, and installations, Betelhem Makonnen researches questions on perception, presence, and place within a trans‑temporal and trans-locative topology that operates on the relational dynamics of a diasporic consciousness Exhibition Dates: March 6 through April 4, 2020. Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 6 p.m.

Dog Extravaganza
Saturday, March 7 | from 12 to 2 p.m. | Metz Recreation Center, 2407 Canterbury Street

This FREE event is dedicated to our furry family members. Join the Metz staff for a day in the park filled with fun games and activities designed especially for your dog! Door prizes, FREE snacks & samples, doggie games, vendors and contests. Winners will receive prize baskets. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Women and Their Work
Saturday, March 7 | From 7 to 9 p.m. | Women & Their Work, 1710 Lavaca Street

Jill Bedgood creates mixed media sculpture and installations that contemplate the dualities in life, the cyclical nature of existence, and the weight of memory. In the tradition of marble memorials, her reliefs, laden with symbolic objects, contrast excess and austerity to evoke transience and immortality. Bedgood’s artwork functions as contemporary memento mori, asking us to consider why we value our possessions and their persistence through time after our own lives end. Opening reception is on Saturday but the exhibition is on view through April 21. Free and open to the public.

Music From Around The World: ORPHEUS ACADEMY OF MUSIC FACULTY RECITAL
Sunday, March 8 | from 3 to 4 p.m.| First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin, 4700 Grover Avenue

Join as the award-winning faculty of Orpheus Academy of Music perform exciting musical selections that represent different countries from across the globe! This event is free and open to the public.  Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend. A reception will follow the event.
