Unplugged at The Grove

Join KGSR at the iconic Shady Grove on Barton Springs Road for one of Austin’s longest running FREE concert series. The live music begins with Jonathan Tyler at 8pm. Movies in the Park: 180 Degrees South

Movies in the Park is a series of FREE films brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation and presented by Alamo Drafthouse. Austin residents and visitors can bring their blanket or lawn chairs (and often a picnic dinner) for a fun and relaxing evening under the beautiful Austin night sky. Dogs, picnics, and lawn chairs are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, glass and styrofoam are not permitted in the park. This Thursday’s showing will be 180 Degrees South, at 9pm. Music Under the Stars Featuring Brownout with Sweet Spirit

In celebration of ten years of the Fun Fun Fun Fest, the festival team collaborated with the Bullock Museum to curate the music series lineup featuring popular Texas artists for this annual summer event series. For three Friday nights in July, the museum’s Lone Star Plaza will host these FREE shows, and all are welcome to enjoy live music in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. This Friday at 6pm, enjoy music by Brownout with Sweet Spirit.  Free parking in the Museum garage starting at 5pm. (Bullock Museum, 1800 Congress Ave, Austin)

Zilker Summer Musical: Hairspray

Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray is a high-energy musical comedy phenomenon that will have the whole Hillside on their feet! Set in 1962 Baltimore, this musical is chock full of dazzling, toe-tapping production numbers and soulful rhythm and blues.
