Line Dancing Class (Lockhart)

Don’t miss the music and fun in this family-friendly dance class! All ages and abilities welcome. Join at Lockhart State Park for a lesson in country-style line dancing! Class is suitable for beginners and all ages. Wear your dancing shoes and bring water. No registration required. Class will be held inside the park Recreation Hall. Class is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under. If our office is closed when you arrive, please use the self-pay station to check in.

Come out on Saturdays at 9 a.m. for a free community workout with Camp Gladiator! This boot camp type workout will take place on the Central Plaza lawn and is open to anyone over the age of 14 ! MLK Day March and Community Celebration

The Annual Community March celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy while uplifting diversity and multi-culturalism in our city. All businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to march and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy. The MLK Community March kicks off at 9 a.m.with a short program at the MLK Statue on the University of Texas campus. At the conclusion of the program at the MLK Statue, you will march to the south steps of the Capitol for a rally. After the Capitol program, the march will proceed to the historic Huston-Tillotson University, where exciting activities are planned. The MLK Community Festival kicks off at 11:15 a.m. and will last until 3:30 p.m.
