Shawn Nelson Band will headline Hill’s Cafe this Friday. Shawn Nelson is an Americana/Country singer who’s been bouncing around honky tonks since 2003. KUTX’s 3rd Annual MapJam

MapJam is KUTX’s annual day-long FREE music festival that sprawls throughout venues downtown and in East Austin. Celebrating its 3rd year, it will begin at 1pm at the Mexican Cultural Center and end at The Historic Scoot Inn at midnight. For a full line-up of music, click here. This unique event is intended to be interactive and attendees are encouraged to submit videos, photos, and comments about Austin’s music scene using the hashtag #austinmusicmap.

SURE THING Comedy Show

SURE THING comedy show at the original Austin Java starts at 8pm. Various comedians are performing and the show is hosted by Duncan Carson and Brendan K. O’Grady. Enchanted Rock Star Festival

Take a road trip to Fredericksburg this weekend and help celebrate Enchanted Rock State Natural Areas International Dark Sky Park designation and its commitment to keeping its skies dark and stars bright for all to enjoy – now and in the future. Print Fired: An Exhibition of Stencils and Screenprinting

E4 Gallery will be holding FREE demonstrations in unique printmaking techniques every Sunday this month.
