December Wine Walk at the Hill Country Galleria

Love wine? Then you must check out the Hill Country Galleria’s Wine Walk! Start at Twin Liquors to pick up a map to guide you on the wine walk. Keep your map with you as your ticket for each wine walk stop. Hill Country Galleria shopping bags filled with exclusive offers will also be available to Wine Walk participants. Event is 5-9pm. Horse Opera at the Buzz Mill

Horse Opera is Texas Dance Hall music at its finest. They’re a little bit honky tonk, hillbilly bluegrass, country western, and all homegrown. Blue Genie Art Bazaar

Celebrating its 14th year, the Blue Genie Art Bazaar art show features one-of-a-kind artwork and handi-crafts from over 200 local and regional artists. The show and parking are FREE and sales benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas. The show is open daily until Christmas Eve; hours are 10am-10pm. Home Slice Carnival O’ Pizza

To celebrate Home Slice’s ninth year and to give back to the neighborhood and community that has made them famous, they have planned an afternoon of pizza-themed craziness from 12-7pm. There will be live music, marching bands, pizza eating contests, speed tossing contests, and plenty of impromptu entertainment. Wimberley’s Second Saturday Gallery Trail

Luminations at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

Thousands of luminaries and twinkling lights turn the Center into a holiday wonderland during Luminations, an Austin holiday tradition. In addition to the beautiful holiday lighting, they’ll have Frosty the Snowman, the Austin Banjo Club, the Chalameau Quartet, La Grosse Tete and the Eanes High School Choir, plus holiday specials at the gift shop. Cherrywood Art Fair

Cherrywood Art Fair, the longest running maker and artists fair in East Austin, returns for its 13th year on December 13th and 14th from 10am to 5pm. Featuring more than 90 makers, the holiday shopping event is FREE and open to the public. Benefiting local non-profit Chula League, the event also features food vendors, children’s activities and music stage headliners Clandestino All-Stars, Elizabeth McQueen and Hard Proof. Austin Graffiti Art: Celebrating Austin’s Street Art by SouthPOP

SouthPOP’s exhibition, Austin Graffiti Art: Celebrating Austin’s Street Art and Featuring the “Hope” Gallery on Lamar Boulevard, showcases the photography of Bob Simmons. The goal of SouthPop is to present some of the most visually interesting street art works as pop culture art rather than a public nuisance. Admission to the museum is FREE during regular hours (Thursday-Sunday from 1pm-6pm) through December 20.
