Join in the shop for a lovely evening with some of our local artists! If you’ve ever wanted to meet some our talented artists, now’s your chance! The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Hotel Ella Salon Series

The UMLAUF has teamed up with Hotel Ella to host Katie Robinson Edwards, who will be discussing Mid-Century Modern Art. These take place at Hotel Ella’s Goodall Restaurant. 2019 UMLAUF Garden Party

Join Austin’s iconic UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum for their annual Garden Party on Thursday, April 25 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. While the beloved event will still include fine wine and decadent bites, the 21st installation will include performers from all over the city to provide entertainment throughout the garden for guests. This year, The UMLAUF is thrilled to partner with Twin Liquors so each bar throughout the garden will have a thoughtful wine pairing. The UMLAUF will also be providing bites from notable restaurants like Juliet Italian Kitchen, Moonshine Grill and more in order to create a memorable, uniquely Austin evening. Pat Green Headlines the 20th Annual Red Poppy Festival (Georgetown)

The “Red Poppy Capital Of Texas,” Georgetown, Texas, will celebrate its 20th Annual Red Poppy Festival April 26 through 28, in honor of red poppy season; it is one of the few locations in the United States where red poppies grow naturally. Georgetown hosts a free, three-day festival to honor the history and beauty of its poppy season. The weekend includes parades, a car show, live music, cooking contest, art, food and family-friendly activities including the Kid’s Fun Zone with a bounce house, obstacle course, toddler playground and more. Country musician and a Lone Star favorite, Pat Green, will headline the festival as it marks its 20th anniversary. Additional concerts will take place Friday and Sunday nights.
World Tai Chi and Qigong Day

Texas Independence Walking Tour

Learn about the Texas 1835-1836 fight for independence from Mexico in less than an hour! Hear the heroic stories of Oakwood Cemetery “residents” who fought in the battles of the Revolution, survived the Alamo, escaped the Goliad massacre, and helped found the Texas Republic. Free 45 minute walking tours start 10am-1pm near the newly restored Oakwood chapel. Kids under adult supervision are welcome, but please leave your pets at home and wear closed-toed shoes. The event is sponsored by Save Austin’s Cemeteries, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Austin’s historic cemeteries in partnership with the City of Austin. Donations for the tour are welcome to support preservation projects.
Open Play Pickle Ball

Join at Gus Garcia Recreation Center as we host FREE open play pickle ball every Saturday morning. Participation is free to the public and will be first come serve. Some occasions of pickle ball play may require half the gym space to accommodate open gym basketball or may result in the postponement of open play on Saturdays in which special events are hosted in the gym.

The MusiCares® Sober Jam is a monthly event presented by Face the Music, offering musicians an opportunity to perform in a safe and sober environment. This event would not be possible without the ongoing support of our sponsors, MusiCares, Face the Music, the SIMS Foundation and Gibson Guitar. The Sober Jam is held at The North Door and begins at 6pm with an open jam, allowing guests time to arrive, mingle and find their way to a seat. Musicians are also encouraged to join in the jam on-stage!
