Eastside Pop-up Nights

They’re back! Join in for a night of drinking, dancing, and shopping under the beautiful Texas sky. Come early at 8pm and enjoy FREE drinks from Brancamenta! Then stay late and dance the night away with DJ Al Lover at 9-11pm and uLOVEi at 10pm-close. There will also be a Fierce Mild Comedy open mic from 7-9:30pm inside Hotel Vegas. The PreGame Comedy Show

Every week some of Austin’s funniest comedians come to do their best 10-minute sets, and every show has a different lineup! Unplugged at the Grove: Jimmy LaFave

This week’s featured musician for KGSR’s Unplugged at the Grove is Jimmy LaFave, starting at 8pm. This is one of Austin’s longest running FREE concert series. Austin Latinas in Film

Austin-based non-profit organization Latinitas is putting together an Austin Latinas in Film panel to discuss the current state of Latinas in the film industry, and learn about some of the amazing projects the panelists are working on. This FREE event will include food, prizes, and special guests! Panelists include Elizabeth Avellan-Co-Owner/Vice President of Troublemaker Studios, Sharon Arteaga-Filmmaker and Producer for Republic Ventures Group, Chelsea Hernandez-Editor of Arts in Context (KLRU) and Director of Building The American Dream, and Sandy Avila Ramirez – Latina in Entertainment. The event starts at 6pm. Please RSVP here. Wild Bill and The Lost Knobs Official Album release Party

Wild Bill and the Lost Knobs are a high energy Americana rock band from Austin, Texas. Heavily influenced by music from Austin’s trademark 70s “cosmic country” era, the band combines classic country and blues with other progressive styles to satisfy the dancers, the rockers, the rollers, and anyone else who hears them play. SMTX Mermaid Parade & SPLASH Festival

Starting at 10am, the downtown parade will feature floats, marchers, music and “all things San Marcos.” Leading the Mermaid Parade is Austin Samba and Las Monas de San Antonio bringing their brand of “radical creativity, fantasy and imagination” to the parade with a sizzling combination of rhythm, dance, movement, color, joy and giant mermaid puppets! What would a Mermaid Parade be without mermaids? Sirenalia Mermaids will make their debut in the Mermaid Parade! In addition to the parade there will be live music, a craft village, river conservation education, and more! (Downtown San Marcos)

Full Moon Celebration at Art for the People Gallery

Join APG from 7-10pm for a beautiful evening celebrating the Austin Bodies Project and photographer, Doc List. Doc List celebrates the human body in it’s diverse expressions of strength and beauty in his most recent project, The Austin Bodies Project. Come sip on wine, check out our space, and meet Doc List and the beautiful people he photographs. This will be a very special FREE evening with an Acrodance Performance by Sami List and Raymond (Ray Ray) White. Between the art, the acrodance, and the coming together of the fitness world and the art world, it’ll be a great night! 19th Annual Austin Museum Day
