Join for Summer Sunset Series 2019, presented by Topo Chico and sponsored by Outdoor Voices, in Republic Square. An hour vinyasa flow led by a Wanderlust Yoga Austin instructor and accompanied by a live musician or DJ. We hope to build a connection through the activation of yoga, music and community. This free event will be open to the public and catered to all levels of yoga experience. Every Tuesday this summer.
Open Mic Night at the DAC

Ballet Under the Stars

The season will close on May 31st and June 1st (Rain Date June 2) as we present our annual event Ballet Under the Stars at the Zilker Hillside Theater. This season’s Ballet Under the Stars will feature the music of Ludwig Minkus. He is most well-known for his ballets Don Quixote, La Bayadère, and Paquita that have defined the art form of classical ballet through their strong and dynamic characters. Enjoy an evening with our artists as they exhibit beautiful artistry and unmatchable virtuosity. We will also be joined by guest artists from Ballet Austin and Ballet San Antonio. Additionally, the audience will also enjoy original debut works created by our artists. Join us just before sunset on May 31 and June 1 at the Zilker Hillside Theater. Beginning just before sundown, this Austin tradition is fun for the whole family and a great way to kick off your summer. Whether it’s your first time at a dance performance or you are a seasoned patron of the arts, you will be amazed at the talent and creativity of our artists. During intermission the bucket is passed for donations and any amount is graciously accepted.

Saturday Night Concert Series

This free 10x music series hosted by Austin City Limits Radio features local favorites such as Nakia, Dale Watson and Fastball. The concerts take place in the Central Plaza and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show. Admission is free and dogs are welcome.
METROmorphosis Opening Reception
Saturday, June 1 | from 7 to 9 p.m. | Davis Gallery, 837 W. 12th St.
Be there for the opening reception for METROmorphosis: a two-person exhibit featuring the work of Annie Darling and David Elliott on Saturday, June 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is FREE, open to the public and refreshments will be served. The paintings and sculptures on view are fascinating examples of each artist’s vision of our quickly expanding and evolving city. Annie Darling’s dazzling, colorful series of work titled “Structures” explores landmarks from around Austin through an array of media ranging from encaustic painting to photography. David Elliott’s oil paintings and ceramic sculptures personify the undercurrent of eccentricity of Austin’s booming city streets and homes.
METROmorphosis will be on exhibit from June 1-July 13. Davis Gallery is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
H-E-B Free First Sunday

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Strings in the Park

Strings In The Park celebrates Austin’s environmental awareness, natural beauty, world class musicians, and companies who care, and encourages people everywhere to get involved in protecting and restoring Earth’s most biospherically-significant ecosystems.
