We’re doing a deep dive into the best parks and green spaces in Austin. The city’s parks give you the perfect area to relax, play, picnic, and unplug for the afternoon!

Here’s absolutely everything you need to know about City of Bee Cave Central Park!

Size:

At 50 acres, this Bee Cave park is large enough so that visitors won’t be on top of each other, yet small enough to still explore the area.

Neighborhood:

This park is located in the suburb of Bee Cave, just northwest of The Galleria. Nestled between Bee Cave Parkway and Highway 71, this scenic park has beautiful views while still being in the city.

Trails:

The multi-use trail in the park is great for runners, walkers, bikers, scooters, and more! No need to worry about slipping or uneven ground as the trail is paved with concrete, so strollers are perfect on this terrain. The loop is 1.4 miles and is moderately trafficked depending on the time of day and the time of year. The trail is new, so there is little to no shade along the route. Some slight inclines will get your heart rate going but nothing too serious.

Kid-Friendly:

With a playscape that nods to a futuristic design, children will love playing and climbing around! The flooring of the play area is recycled rubber grounds, so need to worry about scrapes or hard surfaces. Additionally, City of Bee Cave Central Park has a unique amphitheater with gong bells and drums to play on. There are also plenty of shaded picnic areas to relax and have a snack at.

While there’s plenty of green space for soccer, disc golf, and other grassy sports, City of Bee Cave Central Park features a full basketball court as well! A few workout sessions have been known to host their classes here as well, like Camp Gladiator!
