Web Design For Girls Part 1 (ages 12-18) (preregister for 4 week series)
25 April @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Monday, repeating until 25 April, 2022
Interested in coding? Want to build your own webpage? If you answered yes then preregister for this free program at the Round Rock Public Library. We will meet every Monday in April 2022 at 6:30 pm, and Chromebooks will be provided on-site for the class.
You will learn how to build and customize a basic webpage using HTML & CSS. By the end of the month, you will develop your own project and learn the basics of web development. Each class will last approximately an hour, with time in the beginning for reviewing what we’ve learned at the previous classes. The last class will be a wrap-party where we will each present our websites. You will receive a certificate and we’ll celebrate with pizza.

The classes will be led by Teen Advisory Board member Parul who is a junior at Round Rock High School. Coding and engineering have been passions of hers since 6th grade. Throughout her computer science journey, she has often been one of the few (if not the only) girls in the room and because of this she wants to support women empowerment initiatives and to get more females involved in STEM. Parul is looking forward to meeting you!
