The Pfizer vaccine is available for children 5 and up at Travis County’s mobile vaccine clinics, except at weekend clinics at the Travis County Expo Center. Children will need a second shot three weeks after their first Pfizer shot. The consent of a parent or guardian is required for ages 5 – 17, and the parent or guardian must be present.
Additionally, those who qualify can receive their booster shot. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people who meet the following eligibility criteria can receive boosters of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 6 months after their initial 2-dose series:
- 65 or older
- 18 or older who live in long-term care settings
- 18 or older who have underlying medical conditions
- 18 or older who work or live in high-risk settings
Those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine can get the booster at least two months after their shot if they’re 18 or older.
Please check the type of vaccine and age availability for each clinic listed below. Appointments are not required. The COVID-19 vaccine is free for everyone.
