MLK Day Parade & Street Festival

In collaboration with volunteers and local partners, the City of Leander will honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by hosting its first MLK Day Parade & Street Festival themed “Community Unity – Bright & Bold” on Jan. 17, 2022, in Old Town Leander. King believed in celebrating and promoting the worth of every human being. In his pursuit of equal rights by nonviolent means, King encouraged diverse cultures to live together in a spirit of love, understanding, and service to one another.
EVENT SCHEDULE
The MLK Day Parade & Street Festival will be held Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Old Town Leander. This event is free and open to the public. The event’s theme is “Community Unity – Bright & Bold.”

- 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Festival, Diversity Marketplace, and Stage Performances
