ZOMBIE BALL FT. SALT N PEPA || ACL LIVE
October 31, 2015 @ 7:00 pm
This Halloween, join rap groundbreakers SALT-N-PEPA and a macabre gathering of ghoulish revelers at ACL Live for ZOMBIE BALL, THE PARTY TO DIE FOR!
This year’s Zombie Ball will be THE party of Hallow’s Eve, complete with legendary beats and rhymes in a spooky, supernatural space filled with the sexiest and most sinister of the walking dead. Once again, MIX 94.7’s Booker, Alex and Sara from the MIX Morning Show will host the night’s revelry.
Zombie Ball 2015’s line-up is unmatched. They are, undoubtedly, the group that changed the face of hip-hop as we know it. They also gave females across the globe a voice within their communities and the music industry as a whole. Legends, icons, trailblazers, pioneers, innovators and trendsetters are just a few words often used to describe this group. As the first ever female rap crew, SALT N PEPA, broke barriers and opened doors that were once closed to women in hip-hop. These Queens gave women a voice in a male dominated industry and transformed the way the music world saw women forever. With the hit songs “Push It,” “Tramp,” “Shake Your Thang,” “Shoop” and “Whatta Man,” Salt-N-Pepa would defy everyone’s expectations and catapult hip-hop to new levels. Outside of the realm of being legends of the hip hop game, Grammy Award winning group, Salt-N-Pepa can also be called “revolutionaries of rap” and “ground breakers of the game.” Not only using their mic as a means to make big beats and heads bob, but they also used it as means to get out messages of importance and relevance. From safe sex to independence and respecting yourself as a woman, Salt-N-Pepa saw the urgency and importance of empowering females and using their voices through the mic to influence millions with their music.
Also, do not miss the bloody burlesque and aerial acrobatics show, the King and Queen of the Zombies Costume Contest, and other madness to be announced!
