Texas Focus: No Country For Old Men

September 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm - $5 – $8

In rural Texas, welder and hunter Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) discovers the remains of several drug runners who have all killed each other in an exchange gone violently wrong. Rather than report the discovery to the police, Moss decides to simply take the two million dollars present for himself.

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Cormac McCarthy, Moss’s story grows to include a psychopathic killer (Javier Bardem) and a laconic Sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) as it explores the harsh but realistic truth of the Texas border’s violent culture.

A cinematic exploration of the Texas narrative, the Museum’s Texas Focus Film Series highlights stories by, for, and about Texans. This season’s selections center around classic ideas of Texas and Texans as viewed on screen. This evening’s program includes a film screening and Q&A. Come early at 6pm for a welcome reception.

Please note: Entrance for this screening will be at the IMAX lobby doors.

Your ticket purchase supports the Bullock Museum’s exhibitions and educational programming.
