South Austin Pop-Up Park

December 12, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a free, fun filled family friendly event at the Austin Public Library on Manchacha Road.

When the South Austin Combined Neighborhood Plan was adopted last year, we immediately began working on implementation. Included was the desire for more green space and more public art. We want to demonstrate what that would and could look like not only in South Austin, but also in other parts of the City.

We’re building a pop-up park at the Austin Public Library on Manchacha Road, which will include public art from local artist Juan Deleon. Join us for Giant Chess, Giant Jenga, a Red Swing Project installation, Recycled Reads, and music from the Youth Services Library Band, “Echo & the Bats” at 10:30am.
