SFC’s Savor The Flavor: Cooking With Herbs

Learn the art of seasoning your food with herbs and transform the “so-so” into sublime. Using fresh herbs from Sustainable Food Center’s The Happy Kitchen herb garden, we will prepare dishes that feature herbs as main ingredients and quick, herb-infused accompaniments that bring the season’s flavors to your plate. Handling, storing and drying fresh herbs will also be covered.
Parts of this class will have optional hands-on activities. If you want to participate hands-on, please dress appropriately for the kitchen (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, hair tie for long hair, etc.).
We will sample what we cook, but it might not be a complete meal.
