Long Live the Wedded!

The Secrets of the Yard Series is back! For this edition, the French choreographer Sandie Donzica is inviting a Austinite guest artist Cassie Reveles to perform a physical theatre duet within the timeframe of a wedding. The two will talk, act, dance and sing together, portraying the the subtles forces that bring two people together, or appart. Exploring the tradition of the wedding, they want to demonstrate how the dynamics of a relationship is based on the individual as well as the society, and how intricate love and pairing between humans can be, despite the appearances.
Good entertainment, laugh, delightful movement and champagne toast will be part of the party.
Don’t miss it.

25min piece, 8:30pm on Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th of April, in the yard of The VORTEX.

Sandie Donzica is a French choreographer and artist, the Development & Marketing Associate at The VORTEX and a company member, as well as a freelance dancer. She has created the series ‘Secrets of the Yard’ in 2016 to highlight the VORTEX outside space through contemporary exploration and choreographic movement. All the ‘pop-up’ performances are free to the public and happen twice to four times a year.

Cassie Reveles is an american actress, singer and playwright, collaborating with different theatres in Austin like Rude Mechs, The Zach Theatre and The VORTEX. She teaches theatre to children at Creative Alliance and met Sandie Donzica during her Theatre Studies at the University of Texas.
