Photo stroll: Old bridge at Moya Park, East Austin, for the afternoon shadows

May 23 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Ground rules: For both COVID-19 and trail impact reasons, this event is limited to seven people. Please consider carefully if you’ll actually attend before registering, so as not to deprive anyone else of the chance. No-shows and last-minute cancellations won’t hike with me again. If someone “crashes” this event by showing up without being on the registered list, I will cancel this event on the spot.

Trail: this is a well-maintained park with a poured-cement, inline-skating-smooth trail that’s flat, along Onion Creek. It’s an easy stroll on a scale of easy->moderate->strenuous. This isn’t really a full hike, mainly a walk in the afternoon light to snap pics of the 1902 bridge that was moved here from downtown.

How far, how long: We will stroll for about two miles around the park, and over the bridge. We’ll take as long as we want for photography of the old bridge, probably a couple of hours.

Meeting point: The parking lot is small-ish. Look for a silver Kia on the Onion Creek side of parking. I will be masked most of the time, btw, and I need to maintain social distancing.

Personal prep: I recommend coming well hydrated. Walking shoes will be fine. The trail allows leashed dogs, so long as yours is social enough to be petted by strangers.

If you must:[masked].
