Make a Movie, Make a Difference Film Contest
October 1, 2015 - October 2, 2015
The Austin Film Festival & the Travis County Sheriff’s Office invite current 2015 – 2016 Travis County high school students to create a short film on making a positive difference on teen social issues.
Should be a 2-5 minute film about making a positive difference on teen social issues.
Deadline: Must be postmarked by
October 1, 2015.
Open to high school students enrolled in Travis County schools during the 2015/2016 school year.
Films must be submitted on DVD (NTSC or PAL) and available as a digital H.264 file (.mov or .mp4) for screening at the festival.
The festival committee reserves the right to edit any film for broadcast standards.
Films must be an original work completed between June 1, 2015 and October 1, 2015.
Films will be judged based on message strength, narrative strength and filmmaking skill.
The winning film will be announced during the Austin Film Festival Youth Filmmakers screening October 31-November 1, 2015.
The director of the winning film will receive a pass to the 2016 Austin Film Festival and Summer Camp. Other prizes may be add- ed during the submission period.
