Lily Cox-Richard at Blanton Museum

September 11 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 11:00 am, repeating until September 14, 2019

- Included with Admission

This installation will present new work that expands artist Lily Cox-Richard’s research into the contextual history of materials. By removing common materials such as plaster, concrete, or scrap copper from familiar settings and giving them new forms, Cox-Richard makes visible unseen systems that dictate materials’ production, value, and use, and engages larger questions of natural resources, labor, the specifics of place, and the politics of viewership.

Organized by Claire Howard, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Blanton Museum of Art
