Lee Scratch Perry
August 19, 2016 @ 9:00 pm - August 20, 2016 @ 2:00 am
Eccentric producer and Grammy winning reggae & dub artist “Lee “Scratch” Perry” celebrates his 80th year on earth with two nights of music at Flamingo Cantina!
The original “Upsetter” returns to the Flamingo Cantina with New York City’s Subatomic Sound in tow. If you’ve never seen Lee Scratch, the father of dub, at Flamingo you’re in for a treat. Always fully costumed (often in outfits handmade by Angela, the owner of Flamingo) and full of attitude, Lee Scratch Perry is not to be missed. They are *always* some of our very favorite shows and it will sell out. Perry won a Grammy in 2003 for Best Reggae Album with the album Jamaican E.T.
Winston’s Kitchen will be on hand with delicious Caribbean Fare. Doors open at 9 p.m.
