96.3 RnB’s Birthday Party ft. Miss Jill Scott with Bj THE CHICAGO KID!

Grammy® award-winner singer-songwriter JILL SCOTT just dropped her new single “Fool’s Gold. The single is a follow up to the critically acclaimed buzz track “You Don’t Know,” also featured on the singer’s upcoming fifth studio album. Produced and co-written by Andre Harris (formerly of the producing duo Dre and Vidal),“Fool’s Gold” marks the first single in four years since her 2011 chart-topping album The Light of the Sun.

Jill Scott has also announced tour dates for summer 2015. Jill will be performing new music from her upcoming album, along with her classic hits.

“We are very excited to announce Jill’s highly-anticipated tour schedule,” said Shawn Gee, Jill’s long time business partner and partner in the Maverick management firm. “Fans have patiently waited four years for new music, and when they hear Jill perform live this summer…it’ll be worth the wait!”

Three-time GRAMMY® award-winning singer-songwriter, New York Times best-selling poet, and critically acclaimed actress are only a few titles held by Jill Scott. Before having the #1 album in the country with The Light Of The Sun, the triple threat began her career collaborating with musical icons The Roots, Will Smith, and Common in the late 90s. Never limited to music, Jill Scott is a true multimedia brand across books, clothing, TV and film, including credits such as Baggage Claim, Steel Magnolias, The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? and Lifetime’s Sins of the Mother. In 2002, Scott also founded Blues Babe, a registered 501(c)3 foundation that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support minority students pursuing college degrees.
