Introduction to Hacking, Security and the Console for kids

July 14 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Free

Hacking and Big Data are two of the most important topics of our time. In this interactive session, you will be introduced to some of the important topics surrounding digital security and big data. Almost every computer and machine which we use collects data, and some of that data is more valuable than others, like our personal info, financial info, or other private information we want to keep secret.

During this drop-in session, you will be guided through Launch After School’s self-paced learning app, gaining knowledge and tricks of the trade. ‘Hack’ a website using the console, and learn about hacking and strategies for protecting personal information from cybercriminals. In an age where students are growing up surrounded by digital information, digital literacy is an engaging and important topic for both parents and students.
