HOPE FOR ISSIAKA – BENEFIT TO HELP A BOY WITH SKIN CANCER IN AFRICA
September 12, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - September 13, 2015 @ 2:00 am
Help a young boy in Africa who needs medical care! This week’s Africa Night is dedicated to Issaka …
The music starts at 8 with Ibrahim Aminou and Friends, 10p Roland and the Roots Riddim, 12a Zoumountchi!
Issiaka and Ibrahim developed close ties this past spring when Ibrahim visited home in Niger. Issaka is the son of a blind woman, Issiaka has survived as a street kid picking up work where he can. Now his mom has passed away and he is on his own. Very smart and has a great personality.
Issiaka has skin cancer and is in a lot of discomfort. Babata Hospital in Burkina Faso works with herbal treatments and has offered him a free room if he can find funding to cover the cost of his treatment which would take place over 6 months at a cost of $3,500. (about $600 per month). We have been gathering donations at the door on Saturdays and this Saturday we dedicate the evening to this good cause.
It is direct person to person giving. no administrative costs! Ibrahim really loves this kid and we want to help! If you have questions, contact Ibrahim Aminou at 734-644-7693, [email protected]. If you can’t attend and want to send a donation, we will be setting up a gofundme. Thanks!
