French Tech Austin launches with presentation on Austin ecosystem and France’s tech sector at “French Tech Breakfast”

French Tech Austin, a brand dedicated to innovating Austin with technological endeavors from France and supporting French entrepreneurs, announces the “French Tech Breakfast” on Sunday, March 11, an event that will feature lessons on Austin’s tech ecosystem from Leigh Christie, Senior VP Global Technology and Innovation, Greater Austin Chamber, and stories from Christophe Lavigne, Austin-based French entrepreneur who led “the ultimate success story” with a “$1 billion exit.” This breakfast will go from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., with doors opening at 9:15 a.m. for coffee and croissants and the program beginning at 9:45 a.m. At 10:45 a.m., attendees will have the opportunity to network with French Tech Austin mentors. The French Tech Breakfast will give attendees an overview of Austin’s ecosystem from Leigh Christie, who, as Senior VP of Global Technology and Innovation at the Austin Chamber, has her finger on the pulse of all things tech in Austin.  Christophe Lavigne, an iconic and favorite mentor for French Tech Austin, grew his medical device company here in Austin and recently sold it for $1 billion. He now shares his insights and wisdom to help French entrepreneurs succeed in the U.S. In addition, French Tech Austin will highlight what’s great about France’s tech sector. French Tech Austin’s mentors will be around to answer questions about setting up U.S. operations in Austin.
