Flamenco Tablao: Primitivo Daza and Chef Johnny Hernandez Brunch

Join us as we transform The Pearl Stable into a Spanish-inspired “tablao” to showcase dynamic entertainment and great culinary fare. Madrid is home to renowned flamenco tablaos including Café de Chinitas and Casa Patas. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and performance begins at 11:30 a.m. Tickets available via Ticketbud.
Primitivo and his dance company, Pure Flamenco, travel all the way from Madrid to share the soul of Spain with San Antonio. The flamenco tradition has roots in Southern Spain and this dynamic performance includes five musicians—two guitarists, two singers, and one cajón—and three dancers. Primi is a national treasure in his homeland: he has been a solo dancer for The National Dance Company of Spain and has performed in operas, Spanish cinema, and in theaters worldwide. His company includes some of the most famous figures in the flamenco tablao scene. Olé!
Chef Johnny Hernandez creates a brunch worthy of the occasion—complete with a Paella cooking demonstration. Brunch is served family-style and includes a fresh fennel and orange salad, Tortilla Espaniola (Spanish omelette), Albondigas (Spanish meatballs), Paella Valenciana (Spanish rice with mussels, Spanish chorizo, tender chicken and pork belly), and finishes with sugar churros served with warm chocolate sauce. Full bar service to include Cava Mimosas, Gin Tonics, and Sangria.
