Family Night: Get Super Powered!

January 15, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Have you ever dreamed of having super powers? Don’t miss this super powerful Family Night. We’ll be exploring the science and engineering that make real-life super powers possible. Families will imagine themselves with super powers, explore what makes amazing feats possible and learn how scientists are studying nature to improve and create technology to expand our human abilities!

Also, though it’s not required, we believe there’s no better way to explore the world of super powers than by dressing up as your favorite super hero (real or fictional).

Superhero Portraits – Let Bert McLendon Photography reveal your little superhero’s true identity.

Super Songs – Directed by Dr. John McCann, the Tufts University Wind Ensemble performs film scores from The Avengers and The Incredibles.

Super Simple Machines – Can you lift a 500lb weight? Pulleys make it possible. Learn how simple machines give civilians the power to achieve greatness.

They’re Not Dolls, They’re Action Figures – Austin Toy Museum presents the evolution of Batman, as represented in fully poseable plastic figure form.

We’ll be updating this page with more details, stay tuned.
