City of Austin Music Office to Host Revenue Development Workshop

The City of Austin Economic Development Department / Music & Entertainment Division will host a Revenue Development Workshop for Austin musicians from 10am-5pm on Thursday, July 28, at Soundcheck Austin (1901 E. 51st St Ste #45, Austin, TX 78723).
This comprehensive workshop will provide musicians with expert level insight on various aspects of the industry including: merchandise sales, establishing a music business, licensing music, collecting royalties, branding, marketing, public relations and establishing a social media presence. Featured presenters for this engagement are Jason Feehan and Randy Chertkow, authors of The Indie Band Survival Guide and the DIY Music Manual.
“Helping Austin’s musicians get expert-level industry support to learn how to make more money in their chosen profession is just one way we are showing that we are committed to keeping Austin the Live Music Capital of the World,” said City of Austin Mayor Steve Adler.
