August Nimitz Junior Corps – East Meets West: The Japanese During WWII at the National Museum of the Pacific War

August 17 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Free

Join The National Museum of the Pacific War (NMPW) for Nimitz Junior Corps in August.

The National Museum of the Pacific War’s Nimitz Junior Corps introduces youth to the values, innovations, and experiences of our Greatest Generation that led to victory in WWII through fun games, exhibit exploration, art, and science.

This month, young participants will learn about what life was like for Japanese and Japanese Americans during WWII. They will create origami, learn a few Japanese words, and find out what it was like to grow up in a Japanese internment camp.

Nimitz Jr. Corps is open free to children ages 8-12. Participation is limited to the first 15 registrants each session. Please contact Barbara Ford at 830-997-8600 ext. 225 or [email protected] for more information.
