30 Years of AFS, hosted by Richard Linklater: PICKPOCKET in 35mm

December 22, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

AFS Founder and Artistic Director Richard Linklater will host each film in this series. Linklater will introduce each film and lead an audience discussion afterwards.

——————————–

In commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Austin Film Society, we present a program of films that exemplify AFS’s programming aesthetic and mission, culled from the programming calendars of the early years of AFS and selected by AFS founder and Artistic Director Richard Linklater. Each film will be introduced by Linklater and followed by an audience discussion period. All are presented on 35mm film, with the exception of the films in the shorts program which will be presented in 16mm.

There are many ways to be a part of AFS’s 30th birthday! Celebrate with us every Thursday at this anniversary-themed Essential Cinema beginning in November and continuing through the end of December, and at our Make, Watch, Love, Party! on November 12th.
