The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center will host the Dance Africa Fest on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This FREE workshop series will showcase dance and musical elements of African culture that have endured for generations. Classes are open to all ages and skill levels.

- 10:00 a.m. – Welcome
- 10:10 – 10:35 a.m. – West African Dance for youth – Instructor: Tonya Pennie
- 10:35 – 11:35 a.m. – Capoeira Angola for all levels – Instructor: Dorian Layssard
- 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Afro-Brazillian Dance for all levels – Instructor: Kaitlyn Jolly
- 12:55 – 1:55 p.m. – Côte d’Ivoire Dance for all levels – Instructor: Jean Claude Lessou
