Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes Drop ‘Sundance Kid,’ And We Can’t Get Enough

Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes is a relatively new band that recently popped up in Austin, and they’ve quickly become known for their loud, infectious indie rock jams. Their latest single, “Sundance Kid,” which got some solid press from Consequence of Sound, is a large and chunky rock anthem with a guitar sound that’s guaranteed to be imitated in short order. Tying it all together are the impassioned, strained vocals from front man and guitarist Jacob Cruz, making “Sundance Kid” a perfect indie anthem for the summer.

If they can keep turning out tunes this catchy, and manage to keep their magnetic energy going in their live shows, Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes won’t be the little indie band from Austin much longer. You’d be well advised to take a listen to “Sundance Kid” by tapping the play button above.
